This is the website of a registered Guild of One-Name Studies
project into the Gray and Grey surname and its variants. It has been
running since 2009, growing steadily from an initial collection of
Yorkshire entries from the International Genealogical Index into a study
drawing on census records, parish registers, and the GRO birth, marriage
and death indices.
This section explains how the study works, what it has found so far,
and how fellow researchers can engage with it.
